New Year, New Site, New Prices, New Tax
1 Apr 2007 - James Sleeman
Well it's the 1st of April, for most of us in New Zealand, including Gogo, that means a new Financial Year.
With the new year we are bringing in some changes.
Firstly we have a new website design, the design had been in place for a number of years now and it was looking a bit tired.
Along with the new design we have expanded the information available on the website about some of our "standard modules" (products). We work with designers to brand, extend and install our modules to suit the individual requirements of each of our partner companies.
Over the last year or two many of our clients have said "you're too cheap James, raise your prices!". We always try to keep our charges at a reasonable level, but yes, the time has come to adjust our pricing to be a little closer to (half!) the rates charged by competitors.
From the 1st of April the casual hourly rate will be increased to $35 NZD per hour plus GST. We are also more closely linking our foreign rates to the NZ Dollar. Module prices will also increase slightly, contact us for the new pricing. Hosting prices will not increase (except for GST below).
The last item of note is that from the 1st of April Gogo Internet Services Limited will be GST registered, and thus we have to actually collect that from our domestic clients (overseas clients do not pay GST). For most of you this won't be an issue because you are already GST registered.
